About this data measure
- High school graduation is an important predictor for overall health outcomes as non-graduates are more likely to report poor health and suffer from chronic health conditions. (Source: USDHHS)
- Since 2017, the percent of Rhode Island high school freshmen graduating within four years has seen slight decreases each year.
- Young adults with limited English proficiency, those with disabilities, and American Indian students are less likely to graduate high school within four years than other groups.
- High school graduation is also a Rhode Island Health Equity Measure.
